The Millennium Court Arts Centre is seeking a part time education and outreach officer for three days per week. The Community Services Director position is well suited for an innovative, strategic, participative, visionary leader. Under the direction of the City Manager, this valuable member of the Executive Staff provides leadership and works with managers to develop, maintain, implement and monitor long term plans, goals and objectives focused on achieving the City’s mission and the Council priorities with the support of 275 staff members. The Department operates on a $20.9 million operating budget inclusive of an enterprise budget of approximately $7.6 million, and a separate Capital Project budget of $20 million. The Director will be responsible for the oversight of four divisions: Cultural Services, Library Services, Park Services, and Recreation Services. The strategic direction for the Community Services Department is to establish broad based community and council relations, to integrate the various characteristics of each of its functions, to seek innovation in services offered and method of delivery and apply a business model to its operations for effective and efficient management control.
